^^Sticky Snow In All Its Beauty!^^

HEYY Y'ALL
It's Winter... yeah haha,
...but this time it actually went pretty for us!!!
****
Got the first snowstorm of the season,
Saturday, Dec. 3!!
This was a rare snowstorm in that it was very
sticky, and came with no wind!
On top of all that, the temps fell to 29
and held there for all of Sunday, so it didn't melt
either. Here's a bunch of shots I took about
2 pm Sunday afternoon of all the amazingness
that is created when sticky snow lands on
absolutely everything!!!
Yes we have an awesome artist God :)
Enjoy!

THE March storm of 2011

Well, well! Here it is March of 2011... and what March would be complete without a good old fashioned snowstorm! Yeah I know that last year kinda spoiled us all with 70's and all, but 2011 wasn't about to treat us that nice. Can't have yer cake and eat it too, as the old saying goes... Anyway, yeah, we had one heck of a storm here... about 3 inches of heavy sleet, along with some serious thunder and lightning... icing and storm winds managed to collapse the largest radio tower in the midwest, (2000 ft) knocking Wisconsin's most powerful radio station, WAXX 104.5 off the air, along with WEAU TV 13 Eau Claire. Nasty little slicker... but then it flipped around and thunder still rolling, dumped around 8-10 inches of snow on top of it all!
I plowed all day Wednesday, but Thursday was sunny once again :)
Here's a few from Thursday and Saturday. Enjoy!!

January 2010, FROST!

Awesome frost this morning after a pea-soup fog
for most of the night.
It then stayed cloudy all day, so most of the frost
is still there 5pm this evening!

Columbus Day SNOW

Okay, so it has been a few months since I posted on here. That's okay, but anyone who looks at this little unadvertised website on a regular basis is probably totally bored. So, I thought I would add a few new photos and some trivia from this corner of the world.

It snowed on Columbus Day. Seriously, it SNOWED!! It snowed significantly enough to be measured across much of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and broke records everywhere. With 4.2 inches in St. Paul MN, this snowstorm was confirmed the earliest >2" storm in the St. Paul area since 1977, and in some areas, the earliest storm in 100 years. Here are some pictures from Chippewa Falls, WI of our storm (about 2.5 - 3")
